Key Concepts

Different Types of Work

People do many different types of work. Farmers grow food in the fields. Teachers teach children in schools. Doctors help sick people get better. Police officers keep us safe. Shopkeepers sell things we need. Drivers help us travel from place to place. Every person's work is important because it helps the community.

Community Helpers

Community helpers are people who do important work for everyone. The postman delivers our letters and parcels. The firefighter puts out fires and saves people. The sweeper keeps our roads and neighbourhood clean. The plumber fixes our water pipes. The electrician fixes electrical problems. Without these helpers, our daily life would be very difficult.

Tools and Uniforms

Different workers use different tools. A carpenter uses a hammer, nails, and saw. A doctor uses a stethoscope and thermometer. A farmer uses a plough and sickle. A painter uses brushes and colours. Some workers wear special clothes called uniforms so we can easily recognize them, like police officers, doctors, and firefighters.

Respecting All Workers

Every type of work is important and valuable. The person who cleans the streets is just as important as a doctor. No work is big or small. We should respect all workers and thank them for their service. Always say "thank you" to the people who help you. Remember, our community works well because everyone does their part!
